well, i was going 40, which is the speed limit, car from the opposite direction desides he wanted to turn and not wait for me to clear (now he has arror turn signals and they were not on as both directions had the green) so at 40 miles an hour i lookto my side to see why theres lights right there... and then bam. i got pushed about 10-20 feet off the side of the road (into my old job of all places). the guy that hit me was driving an old peice of junker truck, no license or insurence (Great) and his truck was way worse off then my car... spent 4 hours in the er.... on the good side all i had were minor cuts on my hands from crawling out the passanger side and a small cut by my eye from the winder flying in front of my face.... other then that im a little sore... just cant imagine being in the grand am or worse my old car i traded in for the bmw.

Glad you are okay Brandon. Can't beat German engineering for safety that's for sure.

Thanks guys!
it def. sucks about the car, but it held up pretty darned well on the inside... nothing shifted to trap anyone... considering the speeds/forces acting on everything, car being pushed 15-20 feet off the road id say it took it like a champ.... still have a headach other then that i cant complain... :)

Echoing all your other friends thoughts. Glad you made it O.K. (relatively speaking) German engineering is pretty good. Best of luck. DF

I have to say and profoundly state
Next time faster you must accelerate!

(Sorry, been watching a "Star Wars" marathon.)

Glad you're ok, junior. Windshields/ highways taste terrible. *G*

Nothing quite so cosmic. The car gremlins decided it was time for you to experience the new and improved BMW.

new?! i found a 2 year younger car! its a 330ci (same car basikly as mine) only its silver metalic outside, and a black interior... i really like my tan/black interior i have in the now wrecked one but the 2004 one im keeping an eye on just incase is a 6 speed instead of 5, has the heated seats mine doesnt and has a few more ponies in the stable :) the 04 also has bigger wheels on it... nothing major but it looks a little nicer to me atleast. still waiting to hear from anyone, i heard from the bmw dealer that doesnt have a body shop... they were asking m when i was going to get my "peice of junk" moved... lol

Brandon, just want to agree with the others, glad you are OK, and as Aye so eloquently mentioned, cars are replaceable, people aren't. I also beleive things happen for a reason, sometimes we don't see the reason nor like the reason, kind of helps me cope :o Anyway, glad you are physically OK.

good news and better news.

insurence company called me... told me my car had 13,000 in damages and thats where they stopped counting because it was within 1000 of being automaticly totaled... so they asked me if i wanted them to fix the car or if i wanted it totaled.... of course i told them to total it (after asking if they were serious i got the final say on it) so... we ran numbers.... turns out i made 4,000 on getting my car totaled! they valued my car at 19,000 i paid 16,000... they paid me back for tax wich was like 1,106.00 license plate, tow, and all that stuff... so really i made 3, but got a check for 4,000.00

now all i have to do is wait for the check they gave me the same day to clear my bank, trade in the grand am and get myself a newer bmw. *yes you read right, im getting rid of my baby*
