I have a fish question! LOL

The following two fishies are strangers in my 75. I have no idea their exact species. The tetra came as a contaminant in a batch of rummy nose and the pleco was labeled as a clown. I knew darn well he wasnt and grabbed him for the price of a clown.

So if any of you have any ideas...

Couldn't find either fish in the first three volumes of Baensch, closest I could find on the tetra was a glass bloodfin but they don't have those black spots.

However, for the pleco, I found this. http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Catfish,%20Plecostomus,%20Expensive%20V.htm Do you think yours could be a queen arabesque? If not, I have no clue but its pretty. Almost makes me want to have a fish tank again.

Thanks Heather. :)

It IS a Hypancistrus like the Queen, but a different species. Found out last night what I have. Hypancistrus debilittera is the scientific name. L-129 but no common name I can find.

As for the Tetra, still searching. But thanks again for looking around. :)

Found the Tetra. Hemigrammus stictus. Folks at the Potomac Valley Aquarium Society site dug that up. :)

I know the feeling Aye, my 72bow is housing bearded dragons right now but I nice plec tank would be so pretty. Although my water is very hard so a nice african filled with Neolamprolgus and Chalnocromus Brichardies would be coold too. But I would have to replace the bow tank. The seals are shot from all its alterations.

Very nice, Don. Is the pleco in a bare bottom tank?
